When i start up windows it comes up with two choices: earlier version of windows and windows vista. I want to remove windows vista. Please help me, i have tried formatting the d drive and it dont work, please help as my computer came wiht xp and i perfere that.

I have to replace my laptop harddisk. I am making a backup at the moment on an external drive but am not sure how to put Vista back on the new drive. Can I make a copy of it from the old drive? If so how do I do that? I still have the license number as proof that it came with the machine but the laptop came with vista pre-installed.

I am trying to use my all in one Lexmark P6250 to scan some documents to my system. I have Vista as an operating system. I have tried downloading the driver software from both the disk supplied and the Lexmark website but neither give me the abbility to scan documents. The Lexmark website suggests using Windows Scanner but I can’t find this in my programmes. Any help would be appreciated.

I know Windows Vista sucks, but it was the only thing I could get.
