Before I had windows 7 home premium so I upgraded it to ultimate and a few days later it said that the windows 7 I had wasn’t genuine. And I still have the product key for windows 7 home premium. What should I do? Help! Also the product key that I used for windows 7 ultimate, I got it off the internet.

Im pretty sure its not possible unless you do a clean install.
Hi Tom,
Unless the key you got off the internet was directly from Microsoft, you likely did get a non-genuine key. If you believe your key is genuine, a quick call to Microsoft to activate your Windows 7 should do the trick and get you back up and running.
If the key is non-genuine, you will need to do a custom installation of Windows 7 Home Premium. Just pop in you Windows 7 Home Premium disk and follow the instructions as you did when you were first installing Windows 7. Your system will be wiped in the process, so make sure you back up to an external hard drive before beginning the install.
Cheers,
