How do I copy or clone an xp pro installation?
I have a fresh install complete with updates and a few basic programs, what is the simplest way to make a bootable clone/copy of this to load complete onto other [larger] sized hdd’s?
I have two pc’s and two external hdd’s, but not a pc with 2 internal hdd’s.
If the other PCs are the exact same model than use a ghosting utility like Norton Ghost or Acronis to create an image of the drive. Next connect the source drive or the destination drive to the same machine using an IDE or SATA cable, change the BIOS so it boots to the source drive, select the correct drive as the destination drive and start the process.
