1 – Open up a terminal.
2 – Type “sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst”
3 – There should be something which says “Default 0″ or something close to that. Change the “0″ to a “4″.
Changing the value to “4″ has it boot from the fifth item on the list which should be XP. If it doesn’t boot to XP, try changing it to a different value like “3″ or “5″.
