Is it okay to buy Windows XP for a student of animation for learning?

I am an animation student. .
I am planning to buy windows XP, so i want to know if itz okay for me, to use XP for learning purpose?
And which edition of windows XP is good for animation?
Also tel me the cost of it and where in bangalore can i buy the original windows XP?

Get windows 7. Its beast. It throws XP out the window.

im not really sure
It depends on the person as well.
But Youtube also even can get you stuff free.
It really helps save money, cause you never know it could be a waste
