Photo Explosion 4.0 Deluxe installed very easily in just a few minutes. I was eager to put it to work on some photos I had taken of my children. At first, I was a little overwhelmed at all the different editing options. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to edit my photos but the program has a very helpful guide that pops up on the left that gives step by step directions on how to do certain tasks. There is even an option for the program to do a step for you. The guide helped me to navigate the program so I could edit my photos. I also like the user manual that comes with the program and that the manual is also in digital format in case I ever misplace the manual. I was very surprised at the other features Photo Explosion came with. Not only can I edit photos but, I can create photo cards, calendars and more. It will take me some time to really know how to use this program and all its features but I look forward to the challenge and the end result of beautiful pictures.

I currently own Photo Explosion V.1 and I can say this is a very advanced program. It is very detailed and there’s a lot you can do with this program to edit a photo. So much so that I actually feel a little overwhelmed with the program and the user manual in hand. I feel it is like everything else, once you get the hang of it, it will be your only editing tool. I still revert back to the old program for some editing since I know where everything is located. I’ve had version 1 for several years andf I’ve never had a problem with it. I am looking forward in learning and feeling comfortable with everything version 4 has to offer. Since this is an upgrade to what I currently have I know I will have a lot of fun using it. There’s endless options to what you can do with a picture. It is not necessarily a user-friendly program so you will need to read through the book and get very familair with all the different functions. Overall, I think it is a great program to have.

Photo Explosion Deluxe 4.0 Review
The features in this software are great. It does SOOO much more than the software that my computer was loaded with. My only problem is I can’t figure out how to get pics from old program to this one so currently using both.

As a graphic designer, I use Photoshop for my photos so I am a bit spoiled on photo editing software. For the average user the Photo Explosion Deluxe 4.0 is an excellent software choice, as Photoshop provides you with too many advanced options that you probably would never use. If you are a home user and looking to perfect your family photos, you can’t go wrong with this software.

When we got a new computer with Windows 7, there was no photo editing program (I previously had MS Picture It and LOVED that…and now MISS that!) I searched and googled and was getting up to Vista, nothing for W7. Voilà, this is IT. I only got it yesterday, so I have a LOT to learn (I was hoping that manual had about 4 languages in it for its size…nope-all English!) The 4 stars (instead of 5) is because there IS a lot to learn. But I’ve already done so much simply from playing. I knew it’d be better than MS Picture It simply because time has gone by…but I didn’t know HOW much better. I can’t wait to learn it all. Perhaps a 5-star rating is in the future! Saw it for [...] at Target…can’t beat Amazon’s deal: $50 – 20% = $40, free shipping, and a [...]!!! (Granted the rebate is from the mfr, but Amazon’s $ still couldn’t be beat!)
