I found a ringtone maker that works with my phone. It’s great. It’s easy to use, you can play around with different effects, you can mix 2 different songs with each other… it’s just an overall awesome program. It has pic and video sections too. Not played with those that much. I connect my phone to my computer with a USB (I’ve got a memory card), then just click the ringtones I’ve saved, that I want and drag them to my phone. Worth every penny.

I do not know if Verizon changed something, but I was able to create a ringtone from mp3 and wma; save it to my personal “locker”; and then the software sent it to my cell phone automatically. It also sent it as an attachment to a text so that I was not spending a lot to download the ringtone.
The software isn’t the easiest but I was able to create 4 ringtones in 10 minutes once I got the hang of the program. It is nice to be able to pick which part of the song you want to include.
My cell phone wasn’t listed so I picked the next closest model number. None of my mp3′s and wma’s were being shown on screen. I then realized that the phone I picked was not able to handle real music ring tones. I picked the next model above mine and then I was able to proceed.
The sound quality of the rintones is actually pretty good. I never wasted $3.99 (yep – thanks Verizon) for an official ringtone so I have nothing to compare. However my friend has another program and his ringtones sound really scratchy (and he has a much better phone).
I see people had problems with tech support. I never had to call so I cannot comment on the support. Given that you are paying $20 – $30 for a program that will save you money within an hour, I wasn’t expecting any support anyway.
Finally this program installed on a Windows 2007 64 bit computer with no problems at all – which is amazing seeing as there are a shocking number of programs that do not work with Windows 2007.

I bought this product and liked the interface. W/in 3wks started having major problems. Your windows media player will update depending on settings in your computer. As soon as it updates you will have problems with this software. I have tried to patch many different codecs to fix an error message with this software. The worst thing is that the company Avanquest sold the technical support agreement to a company full of people that don’t even speak English. I’m not kidding, I’ve called at least 5 times and no matter how much i convince myself to put up with the people eventually I give up.

The support for this product is NOT what it should be … DO NOT BUY this product OR Xingtone !!!!!
I have tried BOTH – with NO luck !!!!!

I got this software because it said it works with Windows Vista. I tried to load it, and it wouldn’t load. After several e-mails with their tech support it turns out that it only work with the 32 bit Windows Vista, I have the 64 bit Windows Vista. So, before you buy it make sure you have the 32 bit Windows Vista.
