I need to become administrator on windows vista but i cannot figure out how. I don’t have any administrator accounts as someone else is the admin. I tried using command prompt but every time i try to become an admin or change the admin’s password it says access is denied.

Is there any way around this?

My administrator account is corrupted, so I can’t access it or give permission from it in my other accounts. I have the windows 7 cd and all my data backed up, all I need to do now is to reinstall the OS. But I haven’t found a way to do that without having to give permission (which i can’t). Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have Microsoft Outlook installed and I only want me to be able to access it. So how can I make the User Account Control (UAC) come up to ask me for administrator permission when I want to open Microsoft Outlook 2003? I have Windows Vista Ultimate.

Hey, I have Windows Vista Home. So, my dad set up parental controls. I can access programs like my cd games and the internet, but some have the parental controls sign. Is there a way to set things, so you can access it without parental password. I allowed everything, but I still need an administrator password. With no way to get into the system, you can?t even perform basic maintenance, let alone a thorough tune-up. Formatting is always an option, but we consider that a last resort. (Plus, guess who?s going to have to help reinstall all the programs lost after a wipe?) But all hope is not lost. There are a few ways to actually retrieve a lost Windows account password. Read on, and we?ll show you the light.

1st Method:

The first thing which you check if you forget login password. When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account “Administrator” and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this:

Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it’ll show Classic Login box. Now type “Administrator” (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.

Now you can reset your account password from “Control Panel -> User Accounts”.

Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

2th Method:

There are a lot of Windows password revealers and crackers available.

it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password.

You can use the ISO to burn a boot CD. Follow these instructions:

1. Download ISO file from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com Windows Password Recovery Tool
2. Burn to a CD using a CD burning tool such as Nero or Roxio or MagicISO
3. Insert CD into drive and reboot.
4. You may have to select an option in the BIOS to get the computer to boot from the CD.

Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm.
