My desktop is quite old now. It has been upgraded a few times but the motherboard is a bit past it. I run Xp. I am thinking of building my own desktop & I am not to sure of which operating system to run….XP, Vista or windows 7.
I hear what people are are saying about a mac & osx. Compatability with existing programs & cost is important. I built my current desktop to a high spec relativly cheap. It has done well for 6 years.

I have a gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H motherboard and a windows 7 ultimate disk but when i put the disk in it just says ‘loading operating system’ for ages on a black screen. Is this right? Do i just have to wait for ages?

I want to find a small form factor pc(micro or pico) capable of running win xp. I can find mini pcs running win ce but my applications have to run on win xp.
