I have installed Windows 7 Home Premium in my computer and activated it.What happens if someone stole my key.Can the thief activate windows 7 home premium on a different computer using the key which i am using already without contacting Microsoft?Can i activate windows if i reinstall using the same key after this?

I have an xp pro cd that I bought (not OEM – new in box from retail store) and installed on a computer I have. Now I want to install it on a different computer. How do I make the transition to switch the license to the new computer?

A couple months ago, I reinstalled Windows Vista. I plan to switch to Windows 7 but I need all of vista’s updates before I can do so, because its required/preferred. My computer is many months behind on the vista updates. I was wondering if there was a way to get my updates all at once or a lot quicker than just windows update, because as you know, in vista everytime you update, you have to reboot your comp before you can update again. Any help is appreciated.

The Dell workstation came with an XP home and upgraded to XP Pro, but now it has been formatted and set to its original XP home. The extra XP professional CD that I bought to upgrade it won’t be installed in THAT machine. I want to install it in another XP home to upgrade, but want to check in advance. Thank you!
