I have Windows Vista Home Basic, and when I click on the icon “change between windows” it doesn’t have the cool effect on the premium version, where they come up in a sort of 3D effect? Can I maybe download this from a website? Or do I requie the Premium version! Thanks.

I’m upgrading from Windows 7 Home Premium to Professional (64 bit) as I need a remote desktop connection option which Home Premium doesn’t give. Download was completed ok. The problem starts when I want to install it. The instalation stops suddenly, the compatibility report is run which results in a blank report with no other option but “close” which then stops the installation. I also run upgrade advisor and all software is compatibile. Any suggestions are welcome.

I recently got my mums work laptop, and because it was a work laptop, it is restricted by all the settings and software and what not that the previous administrator used at my mums work. So if I upgraded from XP Professional to Vista Home Premium, would that delete everything? Allowing me to go on MSN and change the user-name and all that? Also, there is Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1, and then there is the upgrade which is cheaper in most places. Can you only get the upgrade if you have the original? Thank you.

Also, how do I check if my computer can handle 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium? Thanks!
