I have formatted the partition containing Vista, but the bootloader with the 2 choices still comes up on start up. I have tried booting from the XP CD, and using recovery console, and the “fixmbr” command. That has re-written the boot record, but the bootloader still remains! Help!
PS, I dont want to have to format & reinstall Windows XP!

Basically, my Windows Vista computer’s screen got broken (it’s a laptop) but i want to get the files from that computer on to another one. The other computer happens to be Windows 7 and i just can’t work it out. For the record, the other computer still turns on fine and i can still see the upper left hand corner of the screen, but not much.

Don’t suggest hard drive transplants or putting the files onto some sort of removable media; these ideas won’t work for various reasons.

is there a graphic equalizer on windows 7? i recently changed from XP to 7, and i cant find any of the audio controls that were on XP like the graphic equalizer and the adjustment level for line in, tv, and the record levels for each input can someone brighter than me advise me please.

Me and my friend would like you record ourselves using my webcam but I have Windows 7 but I don’t know what program I could use to record myself…help!
