I have a Lenovo T60, 3 gig of RAM, and a 1.6ghz processor, and I’m running Vista Ultimate. I have the extended 6 hour battery, and on a power scheme with the lowest brightness but highest performance, I get about 3-4 hours of battery life. What features of Vista (Areo, Word, Video, Wireless, ect.) suck the battery life the most? Also, does performance or screen brightness hurt the battery life the most?

My current computer is running vista and I bought myself the windows 7 upgrade disk (campus store already has ‘em in). What I want to know is what disk I should use to reformat my computer in the future; my old windows vista disk or the windows 7 upgrade disk I bought. Oh and by the way the guy at the desk said that the disk wouldn’t work until that magical day on October 22 when its officially released; any ideas what would stop me (unreleased drivers, the software is coded such, etc.)?

How long should system restore take on Windows Vista. It has taken about 45 minutes for me so far? It says System Restore is Initalizing. I got a virus, which wouldn’t let me go on the internet and that is why I system restored it. Is something wrong with my computer?

I want to partition my hard drive in widows 7, and windows 7 has its own partitioning program. Does it do a good job at partitioning or would you recommend that I use another one? If I should use another, which one would you recommend?
