My pc had a virus so i installed a new version of vista ultimate (not an upgrade). Since then i have no sound and a message stating that there is ‘No audio device installed’.

I’ve took not of the display device and driver as well as the sound device and driver from running dxdiag. What other pieces of information do I need to gather? Do I need to take note of the devices?

I have never done a clean install before, so I want to be prepared.

i totally got rid of windows 7 deleted the partion and installed windows xp and lost all my drivers i have dell inspiron 1501 notebook 2Ghz and 448mb of ram, please could you help me get some drivers back.. ive lost all sound my internet browser lags… etc, i havn’t found all the errors yet and i think it could get worse can you give me some help to how i get them back.

I have just purchased a new cd which when inserted, is recognised by media player, works normaly except no sound followed by error code C00D11B1. Other cd’s work fine. How do I fix this?
