Theres about £60-70 difference in price, and im woundering why is this and which one i should buy, im already using Vista Ultimate.

I recently bought a second hand computer from a friend. I think he has installed a pirated windows 7 Ultimate and a message has coming up saying i have one day left to activate.

Does this mean the OS will stop functioning completely? or does it just mean i wont recieve any new updates?

Also,if i want to buy genuine windows, so does that mean i have to reformat the HDD or just buy a genuine copy and enter the key?

I’ve seen a ton of obviously fake copies of Windows 7 Ultimate on Ebay but I’ve also seen a lot of copies of Premium and Pro that look genuine, but what scams do I need to look out for apart from blatant pirate copies?

I stupidly upgraded from Win7 Home Premium last munth to Win7 Ultimate, Now I’m getting the “your copy of Windows is counterfeit” is there a way i can go back to my genuine Win7 Home Premium?
