I have a Lenovo T60, 3 gig of RAM, and a 1.6ghz processor, and I’m running Vista Ultimate. I have the extended 6 hour battery, and on a power scheme with the lowest brightness but highest performance, I get about 3-4 hours of battery life. What features of Vista (Areo, Word, Video, Wireless, ect.) suck the battery life the most? Also, does performance or screen brightness hurt the battery life the most?

how can i make my computer automatically run windows xp rather than it giving me a choice of xp home 1st or xp professional 2nd. Yes i have a dual operating system. I deleted one but it still asks me to make a choice.

I have a laptop that runs Ubuntu, but I want to be able to boot Windows XP off a flash drive to play small games (like Halo CE). I have found several LiveXP systems for USB but they are based off BartPE and offer limited hardware support. Is there a way to boot a full Xp with drivers ff a flash drive to play games?

I am running vista and want to change the login screen to one like windows 7, only theres the vista logo. I tried using stardocks login studio, only the vista logo appears at the bottom of my page and looks rather bad offplaced to the windows seven logo. Does anyone know of how to remove it, or software that will cover that logo up as well as the background theme?
