My computer is windows vista and every 15 minutes it says not responding when a program like firefox,int.explorer,msn or skype is running. It freezes the whole computer. Vista is so resource hungry and i dont even use that many programs this comp. How can i change to XP?

It’s Windows Vista Home Premium. I’ve tried password reset disk. No Luck. Please please please help me! Much appreciated.

I have formatted the partition containing Vista, but the bootloader with the 2 choices still comes up on start up. I have tried booting from the XP CD, and using recovery console, and the “fixmbr” command. That has re-written the boot record, but the bootloader still remains! Help!
PS, I dont want to have to format & reinstall Windows XP!
