I am getting a new computer this week. A smoking new gaming system and it comes with Vista 64. However my Phillips Ambx audio/lighting system is not compatible with Vista 64. What does it matter if I run Vista 32? Is there something spectacular that I am missing in Vista 64? Is it worth all the drama I have read about to deal with 64 since hardly anything is compatible?

Graphics depth isn’t different. It’s just the difference between 32bit and 64bit computing. The main differences are that with 64bit computing you can have more than 4GBs of RAM and run 64bit applications (which are usually faster than their 32bit counterparts)
32-bit applications work fine on 64-bit Vista. The only thing that wouldn’t work would be some antivirus programs and 16-bit applications.
It will handle more ram, it will handle more bits as same time, so your system will be faster. and it will support 64-bit apps of course.
You know why people installing a 32 bit OS on their 64bit capable computer? Ignorance. You are one of them too. Hardly anything is compatible on vista 64? State one program for example because I use Vista 64 for over 2 years and I never had a problem installing hardware or software (unless your hadrware/software is archaic!)
Windows x64 isn’t pure 64-Bit, it will run 32-Bit programs fine.
